تحظى أزهار الكرز الجميلة بشعبية كبيرة جدا فى مختلف دول العالم،لا سيما فى اليابان التى تزرع أزهار الكرز فيها على نطاق واسع ويعد شعبها أزهار الكرز رمزا للروح اليابانية.وتتحول أزهار الكرز من اللون الأبيض إلى الوردي ثم إلى القرمزي فى الربيع.
